Did you know that the
seller pays 100% of the real estate commission and that
my services cost you nothing? Is this a great country,
or what?
The seller has agreed by
contract to pay a commission ( say 6%) and will pay this
amount regardless of who sells the property. If you hire
me as your agent, the seller will pay me 1/2 of the
commission to work for you. Otherwise the listing agent
keeps the entire amount.
The listing agent already
has a relationship with the seller....frequently they
are friends or relatives. Do you want him to represent
you, too, or would you want to have your own agent
looking out for you? Wouldn't you want a professional
representing you especially if someone else is paying
for it?
